I'm in a good mood today. It's rare so I actually need to talk about it. First and foremost I'm wearing a comfortable bra today. It really does make a difference. For those men out there... Imagine your nuts being held by a set of salad tongs. Not tightly, just barely holding on. That is what a bad bra is like. Just picture that.
I got the Escape back. $3000 and a week later, but it's back and better then ever. I guess I just need to learn that driving like I'm at a race track doesn't need to be done on a daily basis. There is no need to accelerate as fast as possible every single time I leave an intersection. There is no need to not wait until the car has come to a complete stop before switching from reverse to drive. While my previous self (me before today) thought that these actions were completely necessary my current self no longer wants to buy a new transmission every 100,000 miles so I will have to learn that these things are not as important I used to think they were. It might take a little getting used to.
As I took Olivia for her morning walk (more like an excuse to get out of the house instead of going to the bathroom as she has recently decided to poop in the house daily instead of the woods) I could actually hear cows. It was that completely still and quiet that I could hear them mooing from 1/4 - 1/2 mile away. It was such an amazing early morning moment but it was completely bittersweet. I hate the sprawl that Dutchess county has been experiencing in the past ten years or so. There used to be 5 or 6 dairy farms with in a 3 mile radius of my house. Now there are two left, the others substituted with developments that include houses that only garish families with a million kids and million dollars can afford. Ok, exaggeration, but still no one needs houses this big, and no county needs this many of them. Go back to Westchester, leave our farms alone.
